Two more patients have sadly died following listeria outbreak in prepackaged foods

Authorities in the UK have confirmed that two more patients have sadly died following an outbreak of listeria.

According to Sky News, the two latest deaths come after a number of prepacked sandwiches and salads supplied by the Good Food Chain were found to have contained the infection.

Although the location of the latest deaths have not been revealed, Public Health England said the cases bring the death toll to five.

The deaths come after three people sadly died at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Aintree University NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool.

Public Health England say there has been a total nine cases reported to date and that all infected foods have since been removed from all public hospitals.
