A retired U.S. Army colonel who served under former President Donald Trump as senior adviser to then-Acting Defence Secretary Christopher Miller has provoked the ire of the political and media establishment after he refused to tow the mainstream propaganda line on the war in Ukraine.
Col. Douglas Macgregor contradicted the media spin that Russia is suffering thousands of casualties and its military operation in Ukraine is failing saying that the delay in the fall of the Zelensky regime was due to Putin being “too gentle” in his offensive.
In his interview, with Fox News host Stuart Varney Macgregor said:
“The first five days Russian forces I think frankly were too gentle. They’ve now corrected that. So, I would say another ten days this should be completely over.”
The Colonel also described Zelensky as a “puppet” who not acting heroically as the corporate media in the West would have people believe but is instead endangering his people and prolonging their suffering.
“The Russians have made it very clear what they want is a neutral Ukraine. This could’ve ended days ago if he (Zelensky) accepted that,” he said.
The wise words of the military expert have enraged the pro-war political elite in the U.S in both the Republican and Democrat parties and incensed the media propaganda machine.
