UFC chief Dana White is seemingly getting no respite from the McGregor fiasco, and now it seems it is about to get a whole lot worse as McGregor’s originally scheduled July 9th opponent Nate Diaz has now followed in the Dubliner’s footsteps by insisting that he will only fight at UFC 200 if the Notorious is his opponent.

The U.S. fighter who infamously beat McGregor last month has now seemingly left UFC President Dana White with a massive problem as he has openly stated that he will walk away from the highly anticipated event, unless the UFC perform a U-turn and allow him to face McGregor.

According to reports stateside Diaz has insisted that he is fully committed to the rematch and is continuing to train in preparation for McGregor: “I’m coming here to fight, if we’re going to get that fight going. If not, I’m going on vacation, for real. “I came to fight Conor McGregor. I don’t really have too much interest in anyone else.”

However UFC chief White still is adamant that the fight will definitely no go ahead, saying although the choice is “an unpopular decision but it’s the right decision”.

Although White did state that McGregor’s next fight will be the defence of his featherweight title against the winner of Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar.
