Wartime Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation on Tuesday evening and said that ‘full security is being restored’ across the country.
The Ukrainian army’s stunningly beautiful and effective counter-offensive has so far managed to retake around 8,000 sq. km, and Ukraine’s army has routed Russian troops from the Kharkiv area. Ukraine is now working on dislodging the last remaining pockets of resistance in the southern city of Kherson. Once Kherson is cleared, mop-up operations will commence.
Yesterday, the victorious Ukrainian army jokingly said that there isn’t enough space to house all Russian prisoners.
