In a country where according to the Central Statistics Office, unemployment stands at 9.7%, and austerity has been consistently pushed onto the people since 2008, the so-called “leader” of this country, Enda Kenny thinks he shouldn’t travel by car, instead he demands the government jet.
On June 22nd last, the Taoiseach was in his home county of Mayo, opening a constituency office for Fine Gael TD John O’Mahony in Ballinrobe.
The Fine Gael team then rang over to Baldonnel aerodrome and demanded the government jet be fired up to collect Kenny.
The pilots did as they were ordered and flew the jet to Knock airport, where it duly picked up Kenny who flew to an emergency European Council meeting Brussels.
Do you think this is a fair use of tax payers money?
