Up to 500 National Guard troops have been deployed ahead of the verdict in the high-profile Kyle Rittenhouse trial.
The trial, held in Kenosha, Wisconsin, has attracted a great deal of scrutiny, both nationally and internationally.
Kyle Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time, shot and killed two people and badly wounded a third during a night of unrest in Kenosha on August 25 last year.
Rittenhouse faces five felony charges and one misdemeanor charge. He has pleaded not guilty to all.
If convicted of the most serious counts, he could face life in prison.
