There has been uproar online after a top HSE expert told people what way to live their lives over the festive season. Social media users have been saying that there is no way they’ll be abiding to the draconian measures issued for NPHET and the government.
The countdown to Christmas is on and the HSE say that “the virus doesn’t know it’s Christmas” and that people need to be very careful of who they take into their bubble.
The HSE said that people should remember that just because there’s a new vaccine on the way doesn’t mean that the pandemic is over.
Professor Martin Cormican said that measures need to start NOW and that if you can, don’t meet anyone over Christmas who may have taken risks.
Likewise, Cormican said if you have to meet people have to meet other people then they should only meet people that they trust with their life.
