The US Justice Department is seeking to imprison Trump acolyte Steve Bannon for six months.
Mr. Bannon refused to testify in front of a Congressional committee over his role in the January 6 insurrection.
Authorities are also seeking to levy a $200,000 fine on Mr. Bannon.
