There was more good news on the jobs front as US pharmaceutical company Alexion has said they are set to create 200 highly-skilled jobs in west Dublin.
It is believed the company is planning to invest €450m in a brand new manufacturing facility at College Park near Blanchardstown. As part of the plan it is thought that up to 800 temporary construction and engineering positions will also be created during the four-year development phase.
The new 20,000 sq metre facility will manufacture biologic drugs for treatment of rare and severe diseases. The new facility will be the company’s first biologics manufacturing plant outside the US.
