Two incidents involving nurses who were both injected with the same batch of AstraZeneca Covid vaccine has caused Austrian health authorities to suspend it’s use.
A 49 year old woman has died in Austria after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccination. The woman’s cause of death is recorded as “severe coagulation disorders” reports RT.
Another 35 year old Austrian woman developed a pulmonary embolism, an acute lung disease caused by a dislodged blood clot, and is currently recovering.
Both women are nurses and received the same batch of the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.
Authorities say they have yet to find evidence linking the fatality or the pulmonary embolism to the vaccine but would no longer be distributing or using the vaccine batch as a precautionary measure whilst they investigate the cases.
