Utterly tragic: Gardai believe man (60s) murdered in Cork was a member of the homeless community

Gardai have launched their second murder probe into the killing a homeless since October after a man was found decapitated at a derelict property in Cork City.

The unnamed man, who is believed to have been aged in his 40’s or 50’s was also found to have had both his arms also removed. The man’s head and arms were found at the same property where his torso was discovered.

Gardai in the city are already in the midst of a murder probe following the beating to death of homeless man Timmy Hourihane on Mardyke Walk last on October 13th.

Meanwhile, Garda Superintendent Michael Comyns has said that authorities are still striving to formally identify the deceased man found on Boreenmanna Road on Saturday afternoon and if he was murdered at that property which has been idle for over a year.
