The Minister for Sport Shane Ross has welcome an apology issued by the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) for what it says is mistakes of the past.
The apology comes during the ongoing row involving its disastrous financial situation.
The organisation is in debt to the tune of about €65m, and the possibility of its liquidation has already been mentioned in public forums.
It is understood that the FAI recently approached the Government about an €18m bailout, which was refused.
Do you accept the FAI’s apology, or do you think the organisation is victim of its own hubris? Let us know in the comments below.
