The Tánaiste, Leo Varadkar has been forced to leave his home in Castleknock and take up residence an undisclosed location with his boyfriend due to a number of death threats being issued against him.
In recent weeks Varadkar has received a number of threats allegedly from people opposed to the lockdown and from loyalists in Northern Ireland who at one point had sprayed his home address on a wall in Belfast.
Varadkar now has 24 hour armed Garda protection and has a security detail greater than that of the Taoiseach himself.
