British Army bomb disposal units made a pipe bomb safe earlier today, after the device was found in a garden in the Shore Crescent area of north Belfast.
PSNI detectives confirmed the device was discovered in the back garden of a house, just before midday.
The item was moved to an area of waste ground near Shore Road, where it was examined by police and the bomb disposal unit and subsequently made safe.
