The Fianna Fail leader, Micheal Martin was forced to cut short a planned walkabout in Dublin this afternoon when a group of anti water charge protesters blocked his car from leaving.
The disgruntled politician stayed in the passenger seat of the Audi A6 for quite some time, but eventually got out and confronted the protesters in a patronizing tone.
Martin grumbled it was his diplomatic right to walk and drive where he wanted to, but jeers from the crowd of “shame on you” and “no way, we won’t pay” were just shouted back at the Cork man.
