A number of visiting restrictions have been placed at Tallaght Hospital this morning after it has been confirmed that the hospital is currently fighting an outbreak of norovirus (the winter vomiting bug).
Management at the hospital have warned that people should not visit patients at the hospital as the highly-contagious virus causes vomiting and diarrhea, and can pose a serious health risk for the elderly and children.
However, they did say Emergency services will continue to operate as normal.
