Coleen Rooney said to be pleased that the decision went in her favour, but adds the case should not have gone to court and that the money could have been much better spent helping others.

Vardy said Judge Steyn was “wrong” with her ruling, adding that it is not the result that she had expected, nor believe was just.

But she added that he would not appeal because the matter is closed.

Rooney said she was delighted that the judge ruled in her favour, adding, “It was not a case I ever sought or wanted”.

According to Sky News, Rooney said she called it a “difficult and stressful time” throughout the trial, she concluded: “Although I bear Mrs Vardy no ill-will, today’s judgment makes clear that I was right in what I said in my posts of October 2019”.
