Wales come back from behind to open their Six Nations campaign with a win

Wales have gotten their Six Nations campaign off to a winning start after they came from behind to beat France 24-19 in Paris this evening.

In a game of two halves, the Welsh came back from 16-0 down at half time to claim victory at the Stade de France.

France who looked favourites to wrap up the match after 40 minutes, will look back and question their mistakes in the second half.

Wales who are continuing to gather form following the Autumn International Series, had no one but themselves to blame as bad handling errors in the first half saw them trailing by 16 points at half time.

However if Warren Gatland was left questioning the Welsh first half, the French coaching team will be left scratching their heads as a number of bad handling errors and some questionable passes let the Welsh back in and go on to claim victory.

Scores are as follows:

France 19
Tries: Picamoles (6), Huget (23)
Penalties: Lopez (34,70)
Drop-Goals: Lopez (40)

Wales 24
Tries: Williams (47), North (53,72)
Conversions: Anscombe (48,53), Biggar (73)
Penalties: Biggar (63)
