In a desperate attempt to get more people to sign up, the Government has extended the deadline to apply for the €100 water conservation grant for a further two weeks.
The latest deadline was due to expire at midnight tonight, but according to Minister for the Environment Alan Kelly, there has been a “surge” in households registering over the last 48 hours. People can now register up to Thursday, October 22.
The minister said: “The last few days have seen a very high number of applications for the Water Conservation Grant. Water conservation is one of the Government’s main objectives in reforming the public water system and I am keen to facilitate as many applications as possible for this conservation grant.”
If you have any intention of registering for the thinly veiled bribe, you can do so at www.watergrant.ie.
