Gardai targeting dissident republican activity have this afternoon uncovered a large amount of weapons in an area just outside Dundalk.
Assorted firearms, a quantity of ammunition, and homemade explosive devices were seized during an operation which commenced at around 9am this morning, and was still ongoing this afternoon.
The army bomb disposal unit were called to the scene, and a small area of Raskeagh, close to the M1 flyover, was sealed off.
It is understood all areas have now been cleared and roads reopened.
