The weather is to remain mild but wet over the next 48 hours, before colder conditions move in towards by the middle of the week.

According to the national forecaster, Monday and Tuesday will be wet but relatively mild for the time of year, with temperatures reaching 19C at times. Rain is expected in early morning, easing off later in the day.

Tuesday will be a rather showery day, with longer spells of rain at times, with temperatures peaking at 18C.

Wednesday will bring a turn for the worse, as weather conditions turn noticeably colder, with maximum temperatures of 11-12C.

The overall outlook is for colder and more unsettled weather for the second part of the week and into the weekend.
