Weather conditions are set to deteriorate rapidly over the coming days, with wetter and cooler patters predicted.
Temperatures remained fairly mild over the long weekend, reaching highs of up to 18C in places. This was due to a southerly flow over Ireland.
Cooler temperatures of between 9C and 15C will prevail over the next few days, with bands of heavy rain beginning to cross the country on Thursday night.
A Yellow Warning has been issued for some parts of the west today, as persistent rain is expected overnight.
