A weather warning is in place for nine counties as miserable weather conditions hit Ireland.
The warning, which covers counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford, will remain in place until 7pm.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience heavy rain that might fall as sleet or snow in places.
