Homeowners caught a welcome break yesterday after a motion to halt the sale of residential morgtages to vulture funds was passed in the Dáil.
It is worth highlighting that the Government did oppose such move, but the motion passed thanks to Fianna Fail’s support.
The Bill stipulates that financial institutions must obtain consent from the original borrower/s before the mortgage can be sold on.
