The renowned singer Dame Vera Lynn has sadly died aged 103, her family confirmed.
Tributes have poured in for the singer, fondly known as “the forces’ sweetheart”, who entertained troops during the Second World War and became world famous as a result.
Her morale-boosting visits to troops have remained very much part of the history of the war
Her best-loved hits included We’ll Meet Again and There’ll Be Bluebirds Over The White Cliffs Of Dover.
