Wetherspoon has announced a major investment of £145m, leading to the opening of 18 new pubs and the creation of over 2,000 jobs over the next few months.
Building work will commence almost immediately after pubs are allowed to fully reopen across the UK in the near future.
A spokesperson for the chain said that the investment is conditional to ‘no further lockdowns’ or ‘constant changing of the rules.’
