In what can only be a testament to the man himself, it’s been revealed that the late Gay Byrne donated a whopping €82,000 to the Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
The late broadcaster donated the proceeds of his auctioned Harley Davidson motorway which U2 gave him on his last Late Late Show.
Speaking to the Clare Champion newspaper, his daughter Crona said that there has been an incredible reaction to her father’s death.
“Gay was such a mainstay for so many homes in Ireland for so many years,”
