Ever dreamt of wishing on a star like they do in Pinocchio? How about wishing on hundreds?
Tonight will see Irish skies full of shooting stars as a meteor shower becomes visible. The shower- called a Geminid shower- will give Irish people the chance to head outside and spot a couple of shooting stars every minute as it reaches its peak.
Live in a rural area of the country? The Geminid shower will be even more visible in places with less light pollution, where star gazers will be treated to blue, yellow and green shooting stars gracing the skies.
The shower has actually been going on for a couple of weeks, but is set to reach its peak tonight over Irish skies. Just in time to make your last Christmas wishes!
