A black man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap, rape and murder after he livestreamed himself on Facebook raping and murder of a white woman and child.
The Vacaville Police Department in California said officers went to an apartment complex for formerly homeless veterans and low-income families early Saturday after getting a call from a woman about the livestream on Facebook.
The victims are not identified but they were aged 26 and 15.
A SWAT team arrested Raymond Michael Weber after they stormed his barricaded apartment following a failed attempt at negotiations.
Weber is set to stand trial on two counts of murder but many in the US have taken to social media to express their horror at not only the heinous crime but the relative media silence, pointing out the double standards as the would no doubt be an international media circus if a white man had livestreamed his rape and murder two underage black girls.
While the world still demands homage be paid on a daily basis to home invading, drug addict George Floyd, social media users have pointed out no tribute or even major coverage will be dedicated to this women and girl murdered by this black man.
