WHO say repeated booster vaccines is not a viable strategy against Covid-19

The World Health Organisation have said the use of repeated booster vaccines is not a viable strategy against Covid-19.

In an announcement made on Tuesday, the WHO said repeated vaccines was not the best way to handle the pandemic, but efforts to invent new vaccines against potential variants should be a priority.

The organisation say efforts should be focused on variant specific vaccines and newly developed vaccines should target transmission.

They added that vaccines should be created to protect people becoming seriously ill and reduce overall transmission of the virus.
