A wind warning is now in place for five counties as winds of up to 100km/h are expected lash many areas throughout the day.
The warning, which will remain in effect until 10pm tonight, covers counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Galway, and Sligo.
All these counties, except Galway, are also covered by a rainfall warning until 9am on Monday.
