Woman (42) gets charged in learner permit fraud investigation

A 42-yr-old lady was charged with novice driver permit fraud when she showed up in court, reports RTE.

Alina Glont, residing in Dublin’s Charlestown Place, is charged with two counts of conspiring with one or more individuals between September 14, 2019, and June 29, 2021.

According to the second conspiracy allegation, she allegedly participated in fraudulent activities during that time “by unlawfully undergoing driver theory tests in the names of third parties to induce the issue of driver theory test pass certificates” in order to deceive others and profit or cause them to suffer a loss.

Investigator Garda The Garda National Economic Crime Bureau’s Barry Cormack provided evidence of an arrest, a charge, and a warning, reports RTE.

He informed the court that at 8:45 a.m. today, he had taken Ms. Glont into custody at her residence and taken her to the Blanchardstown Garda Station.
