A Malian woman has remarkably given birth to nine babies despite only expecting to give birth to seven.
In a rare event the woman from Mali gave birth to five girls and four boys in Morocco after being sent there for treatment.
It is understood that the woman surprised doctors after initial scans in both Mali and Morocco suggested that she was pregnant with seven babies.
Announcing the births doctors in Morocco and Mali’s Health Minister confirmed that all nine babies and their mother are well.
However it is understood that the newborns and their mother won’t return home for a number of weeks as they will be monitored in Morocco.
