The Canadian Government has approved Pfizer and BioNtech’s Covid-19 for use in children aged 12 and over.
In an announcement Health Canada chief medical advisor Supriya Sharma, said the approval marked a significant step in the fight against Covid-19.
The Canadian Government’s decision sees the countrt becoming the first in the world to approve the vaccine for children.
It is understood that the Canadian Government decided to approve the vaccine after trials which involved 2,000 adolescents found that the vaccine is safe and effective
