A female motorist in her 40s tragically died this morning when her car collided with another vehicle in West Cork.
The accident happened at around 9am at Coppeen East on the R585Bantry Line road.
The woman was the sole occupant of her car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver of the second vehicle did not sustain serious injuries in the crash.
