Workers at Waterford Airport attached to the Unite trade union have now served notice of industrial action.
The strike will commence next Wednesday, and its duration is indefinite.
The row centers around cuts in workers’ hours from 39 to 21, without agreement by the Union. Also, it is alleged that management did not allow staff into their place of employment to fulfill their current rosters.
It is understood that Unite represents 12 ground staff and firefighters at the facility.
