When nearly 1,500 dolphins were slaughtered in the Faroe Islands, terrifying images emerged on social media.

A complete “super pod”, approximately 1,428 white-sided dolphins, were reportedly driven 40km into the waters off the Danish Autonomous Archipelago on Monday evening.

Moments later, a video uploaded to social media by activist group Sea Shepherd shows slaughtered dolphins in shallow water that has turned red with blood.

It’s understood that children were also present at the disgusting event with worldwide media condemnation being pointed at organisers.
