Yellow wind and rain warning in place for basically the entire country

Yellow warnings for wind and rain have been issued in most of the country, reports Breaking News.

The rain warning is now ending for Connacht, Clare, Tipperary and Donegal – while all of Leinster and Ulster will be under a warning until 11am.

The wind warning is in effect today until 9am for Louth and Meath, until 11am for Dublin and Wicklow and until 1pm for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Munster.

Met Eireann urged people to be extra vigilant against flooding and falling debris in affected areas, reports Breaking News.

The Met Eireann said this morning that heavy rains would continue with spot flooding across much of Ulster and Leinster.

Sunday will be a clear day with a mix of sun and showers. Maximum temperature 16 to 20 degrees with light to moderate westerly and north-westerly winds.

They said it would be a rather mixed August bank holiday weekend, with more persistent rain starting Monday.

Easter Monday will start mostly dry.

An outbreak of rain in the southwest will gradually spread to the eastern part of the southern part of the country. Further north there will be drier, brighter intervals. Maximum temperature from 15 to 18 degrees with a weak and moderate south wind, reports Breaking News.

More bursts of rain and drizzle on Monday night, becoming brighter and more erratic as the night progresses. Falls of 11 to 14 degrees with light to moderate south-westerly or variable winds.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with more rain or drizzle, later expanding further north with warm and humid conditions from the south. The maximum temperature is between 17 and 21 degrees.
