Yet another garda charged in anti-corruption investigation

An anti-corruption probe into the operations of a Dublin-based police unit has led to the appearance in court of a fourth officer, reports RTE.

This morning, Robert Gorman, 43, who resides in north Dublin, made his appearance before Dublin District Court.

In the last two weeks, the court has already heard relevant accusations from three additional gardaí and a peace commissioner, reports RTE.

The garda is accused of three crimes, one of which is that he stole something on September 7, 2021, while breaking into a Mountjoy Square North flat in Dublin.

The other complaint against him is that he signed paperwork for a search warrant between September 30, 2021, and December 30, 2021, with the intention of obstructing the legal process, reports RTE.
