On Monday, when the hot-air balloon flew above suburban Melbourne, Australia’s second-largest city, a man plunged to his death from it, reports Breaking News.
Early in the morning, the hot-air balloon lifted off from the northern suburbs of Melbourne. It was in the air for almost half an hour when the man fell out of the basket.
Victoria State Police blocked off a residential neighbourhood where his body was discovered from passing vehicles. Many kilometres away from the site of the man’s corpse discovery, the balloon made a safe landing, reports Breaking News.
The death is not being investigated as suspicious, according to the police, who will write a report for the coroner. Witnesses, other passengers, and the pilot of the balloon are all being questioned by police.
The Australian Ballooning Federation and the National Commercial Hot-Air Ballooning Industry sent their sympathies to the family, reports Breaking News.
