A loving farewell – Thousands turn out to pay their respects to Dolores O’Riordan in Limerick

Dolores O’Riordan’s remains arrived at St Joseph’s Church in Limerick City Centre yesterday afternoon.

Her mother Eileen was met by Bishop Leahy, who said that although there was worldwide shock – Dolores was Limerick’s talented lady.

Fans from all over the country defied the awful weather to pay their respects to the global superstar.

Dolores’ funeral will take place on Tuesday morning. It’s understood that St Joseph’s Church has a special place in the O’Riordan’s family hearts as it’s where Dolores made her First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

She was known for her religious beliefs and her faith stayed with her throughout her life.

RIP
