The wedding dreams of dozens of brides- and bridesmaids-to-be have been left in limbo, after Wedding World store shut its doors unexpectedly.
The store, located in Marino, Dublin, was reportedly still taking deposits as late as last month.
A recorded message on the store’s number now laconically states that the company ‘has ceased trading’. The voice then gives an UK number for people to call in relation to outstanding orders.
Wedding World operated up to three stores across Ireland in the past, but all stock was transferred to the Dublin site last year.
