“An absolute nightmare” – Ireland’s health service on the brink of meltdown as over 500 languish on trolleys today

The Irish health service is on the brink of a meltdown as hundreds of patients languish on trolleys around the country again today.

The Irish health system is falling apart at the seams, as very ill elderly patients are forced to languish on trolleys for half a day.

The claims come after it emerged that a 94-year-old Galway man suffering from pneumonia was made to wait over 10 hours on a trolley before being given a bed at Galway University Hospital.

Family members claim that the conditions seen in the facility were ‘heart wrenching’.

The latest figures put the number of people on trolleys as 575 as of this morning, and with the flu season about to peak, things are bound to become much, much worse.
