In a very heated debate on last night’s Claire Byrne Show, Minster Aodhan O’Riordian called for fully legalised heroin injection rooms around the country.
In a feisty to and fro with Dublin Councillor Mannix Flynn, the Minister took a good hammering from all quarters as most people don’t want the so-called legalised drugs injection rooms.
The boardwalk and many other central Dublin locations, including Henry’s St, O’Connell and Temple Bar have become meeting points for heroin addicts and local businesses say it’s becoming a major problem for people’s safety and tourism.
