Look skyward this evening, and you might catch a glimpse of a Supermoon.
The first full moon of December, traditionally called Cold Moon, will appear unusually large in the sky. It’s nothing but a visual illusion though, as Earth’s satellite remains at 222,761 miles from Earth. It simply appears to be bigger because it is closer to the horizon.
Hopefully there will be a break in the clouds to allow you an unobstructed view at some point.
