It has been confirmed in the past hour that Actress Mary Tyler Moore has sadly passed away.
The news of the iconic actress death was confirmed by her publicist who said she died following a long battle with diabetes.
The news of the star’s tragic passing was announced by entertainment website TMZ who say Moore was on a respirator for over a week after her health took a turn for the worse.
It is believed family members rushed to her beside before she passed away. The actress had a number of television and movie roles over the years after she shot to fame during her stint on the Dick Van Dyke show and her own infamous Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Moore was first diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 33, although she managed to carry out a successful career in Hollywood despite battling the fatal illness.
