According to reports this evening over a million people living on the South Carolina coast will be evacuated from their homes as Hurricane Matthew is set to wreak havoc over the next 24 hours.
The news of the mass evacuation was announced by the state’s governor Nikki Haley, in the past hour. Mrs Haley has said the evacuation must take place in order to protect lives, it is widely expected to begin early Wednesday morning.
Hurricane Matthew has battered the Caribbean with casualties reported in the past week.
