Horrific scenes took place in the past hour in Melbourne’s Central Business District.
The junction of Bourke and Elizabeth St saw a man plough a car into a group of pedestrians.
Police have just confirmed that 3 people have died and at least 20 have severe injuries.
They have arrested one man and contained the situation, they say.
Local media are calling it a terrorist attack but police will not confirm this at present.
