Russia claim that there will be “consequences” after the US and allies bomb Syria

The United States, the UK and France launched Tomahawk missles on Syria at 2am Irish time.

The U.S. Secretary of Defence General Mattis has said that strikes have been sent to make a “clear message” to Syrian President Assad that they believe he used chemical weapons on his own people in Syria.

The U.S. and its allies have claimed that they’re in this for the long run and that they’re prepared for a “sustained attack” on Syria should they believe Assad strikes again.

The main problem, along with Iran and Syria itself, is Russia being an ally to Assad.

The Russian Ambassador to the US has now warned that there’ll be “consequences” after the coordinated strikes that took place over the night.
