French police are searching the home of a man believed by local media to be a terrorist who shot dead two policemen at the Champs-Elysees in Paris in the past hour.
Local French media is reporting of a secondary incident of shooting in the past twenty minutes with police almost not up to speed with each other as they are said to be shouting at tourists to get out of the area.
This story is rapidly developing with police now looking at what is being described as more than likely terrorism.
The man is said to have abruptly pulled up his car and shot an automatic machine gun at police officers.
